The 19-track record is the German producer’s first full-length release in four years

Marcel Dettmann has a new album on the way, titled My Own Shadow: Album.

Spanning 19 tracks, the record explores various strains of house, techno, electro, EBM and ambient music. It’s said to be partly inspired by the German producer’s own visual output outside of his music, and will be released on !K7 following two previous EPs – 2025’s Approaching and 2026’s Faultline – for the label.

In a statement about My Own Shadow: Album, Dettmann said: “I don’t need someone to understand the album in a particular way. I just want them to feel something. What that feeling is can be completely different for everyone.”

The 600-capacity Apple Music Hall will be housed inside Battersea Power Station

Apple has launched a live music venue in London’s Battersea Power Station.

The 600-capacity Apple Music Hall will host intimate live gigs from established and new artists, with each show filmed and broadcast live online. It will host shows both in a traditional front-face setting, and in-the-round, while it’s also been fitted with a 48-speaker spatial sound system.

Apple has also opened new radio studios at the site, where its London-based Apple Music Radio hosts and shows will now broadcast from.

Speaking to BBC News, Apple Music’s vice president, Oliver Schusser, said the space contained “more cameras and speakers than any venue of its size, anywhere in the world”, with artists who…

The four-track release is out in November

Richard Skelton and Lawrence English have teamed up for their first collaborative LP together, titled NOON.

Comprised of four long-form tracks, the project came about from conversations that the two artists, on opposite sides of the world, had in 2021 about the volatile environments that they found themselves in, as Australia experience flooding and extreme weather, and Ireland’s Atlantic coastline was hit by storms.

In a joint statement, Skeleton and English said: “NOON operates as a palindrome of listening practices and experimentation, and moreover as a shared temporal marker that reminds us of the vastly finite turnings of our world.”

Perfume Genius has released a new song, titled ‘Natural High’.

It forms part of the US artist’s score for a new dance work by choreographer Kate Wallich, called The Lesson, which was commissioned by Seattle Theatre Group and will premiere at Los Angeles’ REDCAT in February. Further performances of the piece will follow in New York, London and Paris.

The score is made up of all new music by Perfume Genius, real name Mike Hadreas, with further pieces from the soundtrack set to debut in the new year. It marks the first release of new music from the artist since last year’s album Glory, and…

Boards Of Canada’s 1996 EP Hi Scores is being reissued by Warp Records.

The 30th anniversary release will mark the first time that the Scottish duo’s full catalogue has been widely available on vinyl via official channels at the same time. It will be housed in a gatefold 12-inch sleeve with four 12-inch × 12-inch prints, and pressed in both black vinyl and limited Coke Bottle Green vinyl editions.

Unsound has revealed the first wave of acts playing its 2026 London edition later this year.

The Polish festival is returning to the city for the first time in a number of years this November, following its flagship Warsaw and Kraków edition in October, and a further event in New York later that same month.
